After the announcement of AMPLIFY’s 2019 release, Axway acquired French start-up Streamdata.io, a software publisher specializing in event-driven API Management. The move was made to gain more momentum in the execution of its strategy by strengthening both its API Management offer and the technological capabilities of AMPLIFY. The acquisition has brought forth two essential additions to the hybrid integration platform. One is event-driven API management, which enables integration and application leaders to transition from supporting request-response APIs to supporting real-time and event-driven use cases. The other is a methodology for the digital transformation journey designed around full lifecycle API adoption and maturity. Since the AMPLIFY platform and its integration capabilities are API-centric, the purpose of adding event-driven support is to accelerate customers’ API innovations.
